Metallica!

Postby venerabledread » 30 Jun 2014, 15:04

Watching the Glastonbury set by Metallica, I had to record it as watching it live wasn't an option... Despite some unsavory stories involving the killing of bears, James Hetfield lack of beardy awesomness, and the fact the Lars is and always will be a knob, they still rock!

For whom the bell tolls, is my favourite track... it was featured early!

Whats your favourite Metallica track?

Ha, 'So what' is one of the better Garage Inc tracks and i cant think of any other track that revels in saying 'cunt' in the same way.

I was a reasonably late convert to Metallica and missed them at Reading a few years ago but thought they were awesome. Thought Sad but True was a highlight and was hoping they would do Stone Cold Crazy as one of the few covers ever to be better than the original.

Had my guitar out Sunday morning playing along to the S&M live album which is also genius.

Sadly I have gotten to the point with metallica that I have seen them so many times at various festivals and events that they bore me. It's a shame as I used to live the music but I think the stuff with Lars and then seeing them over and over has put me off a bit.

Ah, Metallica... takes me back to a halcyon age... :)

'Enter Sandman' is badass, but I must confess my softer, squidgier side is partial to 'Nothing Else Matters'. At risk of being gunned down out of hand as a raging Slaaneshi heretic, I've heard a really nice cover version of said tune with some lovely female vocals...
